We are seeking a strategic and hands-on CFO for a leading German medical equipment manufacturer, operating in the fields of physical therapy, diagnostics, and aesthetics, with a strong international presence across Europe, Asia, and the US. The company delivers innovative solutions that support healthcare professionals worldwide, combining precision, reliability, and German engineering excellence. With revenue of €125 million and approximately 600 employees across 15 international entities, this is a pivotal role for driving financial excellence and growth.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the owner-CEO and working closely with an institutional investor, the CFO will professionalize finance and KPI reporting, strengthen liquidity and cash discipline, and lead cost optimization initiatives. This is a high-impact role requiring experience in complex, multi-entity international environments, and the ability to navigate between entrepreneurial ownership and private equity-style governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Cash & Liquidity Management: Lead daily liquidity operations and 13-week forecasting; ensure robust cash control across the group.
- Financing & Banking: Drive discussions with banks and leasing partners; optimize financing structures.
- Group Finance Leadership: Own consolidation, Lucanet reporting, and month-end processes; deliver timely, accurate management information.
- Controlling & Reporting: Build a state-of-the-art Controlling system with integrated BI and KPI reporting.
- Governance & Compliance: Prepare board and bank reporting, ensure audit completion, and enhance transparency. Own Group Compliance and ESG strategy implementation.
- Business Partnering: Provide actionable insights on profitability, costs, and investment priorities; support ongoing efficiency and transformation initiatives.
- Subsidiary Alignment: Standardize accounting and reporting practices across international entities.
Candidate Profile
- Seasoned CFO with proven experience in industrial or MedTech SME environments.
- Strong expertise in cash management, ERP and reporting systems (e.g., Lucanet), and bank relationships.
- Deep understanding of HGB and IFRS-16 reporting standards.
- Track record of transforming organizations into KPI-driven, performance-focused operations.
- Experience integrating subsidiaries and professionalizing finance and controlling teams.
- Confident, hands-on leader able to constructively challenge and support the CEO and management team.
- Fluent in German and English.
