CFO – PE-backed Hardware Group

Overview

A broad, high-impact CFO role within a fast-growing, PE-backed international group. As CFO, you will lead Finance, HR and IT at group level, act as a sparring partner to the CEO and shareholder, and prepare the organisation for its next phase, including a potential exit within the coming years.

About the Company

Our client is a fast-growing, international supplier of mounting solutions for audiovisual and IT hardware, such as displays, monitors and AV equipment, serving a wide range of end markets.

Since its acquisition by a private equity investor in 2018, revenue has more than tripled to approximately €50 million and EBITDA has more than doubled. This growth was driven by continuous market share gains, two successful add-on acquisitions and ongoing professionalisation.

The group now consists of three companies/brands, each with a clear positioning and focus on specific channels: office, education and healthcare environments; the professional AV market (public spaces, retail); and custom-made solutions for the international rental, staging and special projects markets. The group employs approximately 160 FTE worldwide, with offices in the Netherlands, the UK and other locations across Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and Asia.

The group has fully in-house product development and serves more than 25,000 resellers worldwide, directly and indirectly, through both two-tier (via IT/AV distributors) and one-tier distribution models. Apart from a small-scale production facility in the Netherlands, production is outsourced.

The ambition is to grow to €75–100 million in revenue by 2030, organically and through further acquisitions. The group is actively open to new add-ons.

The culture is hands-on and entrepreneurial, with limited hierarchy, a lot of mutual consultation and room for personal input: a flat organisation where everyone, including the CFO, still rolls up their sleeves.

Role & Responsibilities

As CFO, you are a member of the management team and report to the CEO. You lead the Finance Managers of the three companies, as well as the HR and IT functions within the group.

You are responsible for Finance, HR and IT at group level and contribute to an efficient, commercially distinctive operation. You work closely with the CEO, an entrepreneur with a strong strategic and commercial focus, and with the shareholder, who is actively involved in acquisitions and financing matters.

This is a hands-on role in which you combine strategic direction with direct involvement in execution.

‍

Leadership

  • Provide inspiring, coaching and empathetic leadership to the Finance Managers and the HR and IT functions
